Who we are
HIMI mills paint. Jelly cup gouache is the line we are known for, and the rest of the range exists because a cup of gouache is not much use on its own.
What we make
The signature is the sealed jelly cup: thirty grams of gouache under a screw lid, thick enough to hold a knife mark and still workable weeks later. Around it sits the rest of a watermedia bench. Twin Cup boxes that halve the well and double the count. Tubes and refill cups for the shades that empty first. Acrylic and watercolour on the same pigment sourcing. Synthetic brushes with enough spring to push a heavy body. Pads and pocket sketchbooks. Folding palettes, wetting sprays, water cups and travel boxes.
The current catalog runs to 50 items across 7 collections, with palettes from 6 shades up to 112.
Why this site exists
Brand pages on retail sites go stale, and the range is easier to read when the formats sit next to each other. So we publish the whole catalog here, with the specs we actually mill to, and we hand the buying over to a retail partner who is set up for it.
That split is worth being plain about. We write the pages, we count the numbers from our own catalog data, and we take a commission when a link works. We do not run the checkout, we do not pack anything, and we cannot see an order once you leave.
How the pages are put together
- Every figure on this site is counted from the catalog. Nothing is rounded up for effect.
- Ratings shown on a product page come from the partner listing. Sibling colours of one listing share a rating, so we never add those numbers together.
- The palette picker sorts on how many painters have weighed in, not on what we would rather sell.
- Studio notes are written in-house and carry no paid placements.
What we can help with
Questions about the paint, the formats, what suits a job: send them over. Questions about a delivery date or sending something back belong with the partner who took the payment. Our note on keeping cups workable answers most of what reaches us.
